Kyocera’s Objective is to Manufacture Superior Products with a Low Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) and Minimize the Impact on the Environment.
ECOSYS printers incorporate a patented long life drum which is separate from the toner container, eliminating drum replacement when toner is depleted – and reducing landfill waste. ECOSYS printers provide a printing solution that incorporates long life consumables and one of the lowest costs per print. The operating costs of traditional cartridge-based printers can easily exceed many times the original purchase price during the life of the product.
By eliminating the need to continually replace cartridges, ECOSYS printers do their part in helping reduce environmental waste – an added benefit for companies looking to enhance their environmental initiatives.
Kyocera's commitment to corporate citizenship is based on mutual trust with our stakeholders and sustainable development in our operations.
Printers that have earned the ENERGY STAR label can significantly decrease the device’s power use. ENERGY STAR qualified printers automatically enter a low-power “sleep” mode after a period of inactivity. Spending a large portion of time in low-power mode not only saves energy but helps printers run more efficiently and last longer. Since office equipment is generally kept on 24 hours per day, power management features are important for saving energy and energy-related costs.
Multifunctional Products (MFPs)
Monochrome and Color Multifunctional Products (MFPs) combine printing, scanning, copying and faxing into one space-saving unit. When powered down, MFPs that have earned an ENERGY STAR rating can considerably reduce energy costs associated with use. Low-power mode saves energy while helping MFPs run more efficiently and last longer. Since most MFPs are left on for long periods of time, power management features are critical for energy conservation.
Kyocera’s Commitment to the Environment is the Basis of our Voluntary Partnership with the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Ensuring Our Products Meet the High Standards of the ENERGY STAR® Program.
As the government-backed, trusted symbol for energy efficiency, the ENERGY STAR label identifies high efficiency and designates superior energy performance in business products. For more information on the ENERGY STAR program, please visit www.energystar.gov.
Kyocera manufactures energy compliant printers, monochrome and color multifunctional products (MFPs), as well as wide format devices. Many of these products employ our patented ECOSYS Technology, a printing solution that incorporates long-life consumables with an industry-leading low Total Cost of Ownership (TCO).
ECO FOOTPRINT TONER CONTAINER RECYCLING PROGRAM
A Simple, Waste-Free Solution To Responsible Disposal
Businesses today are looking for ways to lower their impact on the environment, to work cleaner, smarter, and more responsibly. Kyocera’s ECO footPRINTTM Toner Recycling Program offers a way to do just that, taking all the effort out of recycling empty Kyocera toner containers.
How It Works
Customers can request recycling boxes from their authorized Kyocera dealer. Fill the boxes with depleted and waste Kyocera toner containers, seal and send to our recycling facility partner, Close the Loop.
That’s it! There are no shipping or recycling costs to our customers. It’s our way of saying thank you for helping us uphold our commitment to working in harmony with our environment.
Where It All Goes
It might be easier to say where it doesn’t go…to the landfill. That’s right. 100% of every Kyocera toner container recycled through the program is transformed into useful objects that serve a necessary function. Our partners at the Close the Loop recycling facility are able to repurpose the materials into items like pens, park benches, and even asphalt!
